All local amenities, shops, bank, chemists are within 2 minutes walk. Colonia de San Pere is a very picturesque quaint village with a number of restaurants catering for all types of cuisine, you can sit on the terrace at Club Nautica and take in the spectacular views of the harbour and the tranquility of it all. There is also a good selection of small shops and bars.
There is much to see and do in the area - a short coastal walk (suitable for children) to the beaches of Son Serra - known for windsurfing and kites. When the weather is not too hot it is possible to enjoy a number of walks both coastal and hill.
In the towns of Can Picafort and Alcudia there are many activities to enjoy including quad biking, horse riding, boat journeys and all are within a short distance from Colonia. It is easy to hire bikes as cycling is a well known activity in the area. Further afield the cosmopolitan town of Cala Rajada and Arta provides good restaurants and nightlife.
