Carsebuie is on the outskirts of the Galloway Forest Park, 5 miles from Kirkcowan and 8 miles from the market town of Newton Stewart with cinema, outdoor activity shops, banks, health centre. Stranraer with waterfront pleasure park, supermarkets, shops, restaurants, and leisure centre and Portpatrick are 25 minutes and 30 minutes drive.

There is a ground floor bedroom with two single beds overlooking the garden and a double bedroom overlooking the courtyard and the pretty herb beds. Upstairs are two further bedrooms each sleeping 2 with coombed ceilings.

The country kitchen with telephone and broadband connection, washing machine and ceiling mounted drying rack, fridge freezer, cooker and microwave also has a dining area with seating for 10 and a window seat overlooking the garden.

The walled garden offers a large lawned area with mature shrubs and trees, herbaceous borders, and an open air swimming pool. Beyond the walled garden is a woodland and kitchen garden, an orchard and a paddock with rare breed sheep, Indian runner ducks and hens. Nearby Rigg Bay has a safe secluded sandy beach within a 5-minute walk, and Galloway House Gardens, which surround the property, are open to the public between March and October.

The Belfast ferry docks at Stranraer, and the Larne ferry docks at nearby Cairnryan. The wonderful beach of Rigg Bay in Garlieston can be reached within half an hour. Bikes can be hired and delivered to the cottage. Walkers will enjoy the varied choice from gentle walks right from the cottage and a little further at Loch Trool and along coastal paths to the more strenuous but well worth the effort Galloway Hills. Mountain biking at Kirroughtree and the famous 7 Stanes is excellent, and there is good fishing, horseriding and watersports all available nearby. For garden lovers you are spoilt for choice, with a range of at least 9 lovely gardens to visit within the county. Boat trips can usually be taken from nearby Port Patrick, and Cairnryan.

We accept all major debit and credit cards or online banking payments. Cheques also accepted but please allow 2 weeks to clear so not suitable for last minute bookings.
Holidays booked more than 6 months in advance require a 25% deposit to a maximum of £250 e.g. if you book 2 weeks peak season and the value of your holiday is £2700 you need only pay £250 booking deposit.
A booking deposit of 50% is required for holidays booked within 6 months up to 8 weeks before your visit.
All balance payments are due 8 weeks before the date of your visit.
A refundable security deposit is payable along with the balance of the holiday rental.
If your stay is within 8 weeks full payment along with refundable security deposit is required at time of booking.
