Chalet Genepi is situated in the picturesque and traditional village of Le Bettaix, which has a bar / restaurant and a ski hire shop.
Le Bettaix is a short chair lift or a 6 minute car trip from the bigger resort of Les Menuires, and two lifts or a 14 minute drive from Val Thorens the highest resort in Europe. The chalet is just 400m from the chair lift but we'll drive you to the Le Bettaix chairlift in the morning, and then in the evening, you can either ski the blue run back to Le Bettaix or we can pick you up from Les Menuires centre (if appropriate). We do all this to give you maximum skiing time, minimum walking!
At 2,300 metres, Val Thorens is the most snow sure resort youll find in Europe. To illustrate its height advantage, Val Thorens is 900 metres higher than Meribel! Furthermore, Les Menuires and Val Thorens form part of the Three Valleys the largest ski area in the world, totalling over 600km of piste!

With many wide blues, off piste, stunning views, challenging blacks, and only two drag lifts in the whole resort, Les Menuires caters for every skier and snowboarder. Les Menuires is just two lifts from Val Thorens, the highest ski resort in Europe, guaranteeing you snow from before Christmas until after Easter. As well as Les Menuires and Val Thorens, you can ski to Meribel and Courchevel with the Three Valleys lift pass which gives you access to 600 kilometres of piste!
We will also be delighted to accompany you on the piste for two days of your holiday to ensure you get the most out of the resort. We can show you the best runs and restaurants, how to avoid the queues and generally save you from having to read a piste map so that you can relax and enjoy the stunning views.
Further Details
Les Menuires is the least well-known, most French and most accessible resort in the Three Valleys. From the skier's point of view, this translates into mostly uncrowded pistes and short queues at the chairlifts. You can also ski the 'Itinιraires du Soleil' (which roughly translated means 'the sunshine path'), all day long on south and west-facing slopes to maximise your sun-tan!
Another good point for many is the fact that Les Menuires is such nice family resort - definitely lacking in the fur-coated snobs which frequent some of the other resorts nearby. It has a good selection of bars, restaurants and shops, a well-equipped sports centre (with indoor swimming pool, gym, jacuzzi, hammam, sauna and squash court), outdoor swimming pool, cinema, night clubs and an ice skating rink.
