The château of Saint Didier almost certainly existed prior to the 11th century, though no traces of the original buildings survive.

L'Amandier is one of our two cottages, with both L'Amandier and La Courette having a similar high standard, each sleeping two people.
L'Amandier offers a gated entrance off the rural route from Saint Didier to Saumanes, facing fine views across a vineyard, leading to a drive alongside the cottage. The cottages are accessed by separate gated entrances with secure parking. Shady terraces looks out onto a garden of flowers, shrubs and fruit trees (almonds, figs, cherries, apples, pears, plums). Enclosed by natural stone walls and trees, the private garden areas afford a relaxing refuge for guests.
L'Amandier has its own garden of fruit trees flanked by stone walls on the road-side whilst several large fig trees provide privacy within. The paved terrace shaded by a large cherry tree (blossom in April, cherries towards the end of May) with table and four chairs is the perfect setting for leisurely meals. Loungers are provided for sun-worshippers. A cooler arbor beneath an almond tree (l'amandier after which the cottage is named, blossom in February) offers another retreat. Culinary experts can try their hand at the barbecue for which proper cooking utensils are provided. The well-proportioned bedroom has a double bed with side tables, dressing table, chest of drawers, and a large wardrobe with ample space to store suitcases. The bathroom is adjacent, with vigorous shower, WC, vanity unit, and washing machine.
