A warm welcome awaits you at "Logis de la Croix" located in the picturesque village of Gibourne which is set in the heart of Charente Maritime in the southwest region of France. We are a family run business who have developed the 17th French century farm house and attached barns into four individual holiday cottages or gites.
Our aim is to ensure that you and your whole family have a relaxing, enjoyable and memorable stay. We offer a family friendly/child friendly accommodation.
All four holiday cottages (Gites), from the 2 bedroomed cottage to the large 4 bedroomed home have been beautifully restored to an exceptionally high standard while maintaining the traditional French style. At the rear of each gite, French doors open from the living room and lead onto a private patio area, complete with tables, chairs and loungers - all overlooking the pool area.
Each Gite benefits from a dishwasher, washing machine, (UK) Satellite TV, Video Player. As well as a fully fitted kitchen, you have your own BBQ - so why not buy your fresh meat or legendary fresh sea-food from the local village or supermarket and enjoy a family meal as the sun sets.
There is FREE WiFi Access and FREE Satellite TV (UK) to all Gites.
There are 2 heated pools which are enclosed by a self-locking gate for peace of mind if you have young children.
FREE access to a newly installed fitness suite/gym. So you can exercise and not feel guilty about drinking a bottle or two of the finest regional wine or indulging in the delicious French cuisine.

Nearest Airport	:	La Rochelle, 1 hour

Travel

Flying is getting much easier and cheaper especially for early bookings. There are 3 airports: La Rochelle, (1 hour away), is used by Ryanair, Flybe, and Easyjet.
Car hire is at the airport and is cheaper if you book with your flight.
Poitiers, (1 hour 15 mins away), is smaller and is used by Ryanair from Stanstead.
Bordeaux is a big international airport, its about 2 hours away and all the main airlines use it.
The Tunnel is very popular because they leave every 30 mins. The drive in France is via Paris and takes about 7 hours 30 mins. The roads and motorways are very well maintained and the drive down from the ferry ports can be quite pleasureable.

Living Rooms	:	Entering from the courtyard into the fully equipped kitchen with gas cooker, dishwasher, washing machine, 2 fridges and microwave. The large dining table seats 10 guests. Archway to the lounge with beamed cathedral ceiling, stone fireplace with log burner, TV (with UK Satellite TV) and video and plenty of room to relax.
External facilities	:	There are 2 heated pools which are enclosed by a self-locking gate for peace of mind if you have young children. Beyond the pool area is an acre of lawned garden, overlooking fields. This is equipped with a range of children's play equipment including swings, slides, and wendy house - guaranteed to keep the young one's occupied.

Additional notes on pricing

There are NO HIDDEN extras. All prices stated are per Gite/per week and all include linen, towels, end of stay clean, gas, electricity and water used. Gas barbecues are provided for each Gite. The TV and video work with UK and French format tapes. We also have a range of children's videos to keep them entertained before bed time.
